Black bayou is a very good lake and used to be alot better but they put a ton of grass carp in the lake a few years ago and really hurt the little lake. the problem right now is the gaint salvinia it gets blown around and sometimes it covers the lake and will fill the boat launch.. I drove all the way to that launch from the main launch. the water is clear to navigate your boat, but their is a lot of floating dead sylvania and off the boat channel their is a lot of growth off the trees and etc that prevent you from fishing much other than the boat channel itself..
